Moris Plains Little League

Congratulations, Morris Plains Democrats Yankees!
	Our Champions! The Morris Plains Democrats Yankees won the Morris Plains Little League Majors Championship over the Commerce Bank Phillies, 1-0, at Community Park. Their victory was particularly sweet since they won against a previously undefeated team—one that had beaten them twice and tied them once in their three previous encounters. 	Ten to Zero Victory! From that victory, they went on to win the Mayor’s Cup against Hanover Township. The game ended in the fifth inning with the score 10-0 (under league rules, the game ends when 10 runs are scored by a single team and none by the other). The Morris Plains Democratic Committee was delighted to sponsor the Yankees. Their season record was 8-4-1 and their playoff record was 2-0.
