PUBLIC SAFETY – Improve pedestrian and bike safety; support our first responders.

SERVICES – Preserve the high level of services residents expect and deserve.
Melissa "Missy" Goyeneche is an active member of our community, volunteering for events that contribute to and help preserve the charm and character of Morris Plains.

Melissa is a voice for all residents. She will work to maintain our community's small-town feel while moving Morris Plains forward. A vibrant downtown and safe, clean parks and public spaces will help ensure that the Borough is future-ready.

Meet Melissa:

Resident of Morris Plains since 2011 with her husband, Dan, and their three school-aged children.

Graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Communications.

Seasoned professional: 13-year career investigating fraud for large insurance companies, training new employees, and implementing new systems.

Girl Scout troop leader of future leaders in our community, building girls with courage, confidence, and character.

Member of the Morris Plains Soccer board.

Started a Change.org petition that gathered nearly 1000 signatures opposing the redevelopment of the Acme site into a large self-storage warehouse facility.
Bill Houston has a long history of service, which he seeks to continue as a member of the Morris Plains Borough Council, representing the diverse interest and concerns of our growing community.

Bill has excelled in implementing cost-effective technology solutions that improve processes and enhance communication. He will work to expand access to town news and information.
Meet Bill:

Resident of Morris Plains since 2008 with his wife, Megan,and their two children.

Served for 8 years as a reservist in the United States Coast Guard, where he worked on communications equipment as an electronics technician.

Earned an MBA in Technology Management.

Has a 20+-year career as an accomplished technology specialist and project manager implementing innovative solutions for large
financial institutions. -
Served as a volunteer on the Morris Plains Fire Department.

Regularly attends Borough Council and board meetings and shares information to ensure that residents are informed.
